Last week, I wrote about what it means to play big and introduced you to Tara Sophia Mohr’s workshop on this subject, which will begin mid-April.
Playing Big is a six month leadership development program for women and I am getting very excited about being a part of it. Tara has partnered with some incredible women on this project, so if you aren’t ready to dive into the Playing Big program at this time, I encourage you to check out some of these sites for a little inspiration to start your week.
Marianne Elliot of 30 Days of Yoga – I am a big fan of yoga, as a form of meditation and for strengthening and increasing flexibility in the body. Marianne will be providing yoga practices which target areas of the body associated with identity, and with the goal of increasing strength and energy.
Tara Gentile, also known as Scoutie Girl, helps passionate people produce and profit. Tara has quite a reputation for empowering people to discover their true genius and put it to work.
Part I of the course is about defining your mission and message. Guest experts include:
· Jennifer Louden, bestselling author of several books, whose mission is to savor and serve the world.
· Jessica Jackley, founder of Kiva.org, an online micro-lending site. See her TED Video on poverty, money and love.
· Tracey Clark, photographer & founder, Shutter Sisters.
Part II is about dealing with fear. Guest experts include:
· Rick Hanson, psychologist, Buddhist teacher and author of Buddha’s Brain.
· Gretchen Rubin, writer for The Happiness Project blog and author of the New York Times #1 bestseller, The Happiness Project.
Part III is about the skills needed for effective action. Guest experts include:
· Deborah Siegel, author of Sisterhood, Interrupted and founder, SheWrites.
· Sharon Meers, author of Getting to 50-50 and former Managing Director, Goldman Sachs.
Part IV is about developing your own personal project.
