Freeman Patterson and Shampers Bluff, New Brunswick remain two of the biggest inspirations of my photographic life. I attended photography workshops there with Patterson and Andre Gallant in 2001 and 2005.
Watch the video below to see how Patterson ensured the conservation of his land long after he’s gone.
Nature is a constant inspiration to the human spirit. ~ Freeman Patterson
What a beautiful area Freeman Patterson lives in and how wonderful that he was able to preserve it from buildings popping up everywhere – but lucky for him that his house was there anyway!
My love of nature is profound, but everyday living requires me to live in a noisy town. To live in the country, one needs transport and that means owning a car!
In the past, you have given us links to Freeman Patterson’s photography and I have enjoyed the simplicity of his captures and the balance he attains in his images. I can understand why he is an inspiration to you.
What a beautiful video, thanks so much for sharing. He is an inspiration and I love that he was able to save a portion of this incredible area!
