For Valentine’s Day in 2008, my husband gave me a bouquet of pink tulips. Once they were in full bloom, I spent an enjoyable hour or so photographing them with my macro lens. To me, this particular image shows the essence of those tulips – not only their beauty, but their translucence and ephemeral quality. The softness is something that is present in many of my photographs.
Such a beautiful image of these soft pink tulips. Softness is is a very attractive and also an emotional element to have present in one’s photos.
I’m not sure how to name the qualities going through a lot of my own images, but I do appreciate serenity and luminosity very much and I feel that I sometimes capture these two elements.
Oh my yes – the *essence* of the tulips. Absolutely lit from within, you can not only see it, but *feel* it, and the softness exquisite… Oh so lovely!
Yes, you have definitely captured the tulip essence – the ethereal color and translucence – they seem to be glowing with an inner light. I can certainly understand why so many are drawn to this image.
