How’s your summer going? Have you taken a break for yourself? That’s exactly what I’m about to do – spend time with family – and then I’ll be heading to Ireland for our annual mindfulness retreat. I’ll also be taking a break from the online world.
Speaking of which, I was inspired recently by a Twitter thread initiated by James Clear, where he asked, “What is one article you’ve read that is so good it’s worth reading again?” The responses were interesting but mostly business related. But, it made me think about which articles I go back to over and over again. Below are 10 of my favourites. Although they are in no particular order, #10 is the one I read and share most often. I never tire of it.
- Deep Perception: Cultivate the Art of Seeing by David Ulrich
- Surviving Anxiety by Scott Stossel
- Listening in the Cracks by Courtney Martin
- How to Walk Across a Parking Lot by David Cain
- A Poetic Life by Patrick Shen
- The Grammar of Animacy by Robin Wall Kimmerer
- Loving a Vanishing World by Emily Johnston
- The Crossroads of Should and Must by Elle Luna
- The Mindful Photographer by Guy Tal
- Lines in the Mind, Not in the World by Donella Meadows
