This post, on creating a visual CV was inspired by Nathan Wirth’s visual Q&A at COOPH, The Cooperative of Photography. Wirth answered a series of questions with his brilliant images. I think this is a great exercise in self-awareness for any photographer. Through doing it for yourself, you will be, in effect, creating a Visual CV or resume. See mine below.

Kim, this is fabulous! Now in turn you have inspired me to have a go…….I think it would take me half the night to answer through images…..but it’s a beautiful challenge. That important lesson is especially intriguing…….
Thank you, Catherine. I’d love to see yours. This was quicker for me to do than I thought. I only went back and forth on a few images. Best, I think to go with the gut response. This is the type of exercise where everyone’s will be so different. It’s so … personal.

Kim, you are such a wonderful inspiration to me. Your photo answers are amazing and beautiful. I love how pictures can tell so much about the photographer. I decided to try this myself. It led to a lot of looking through old images and to a lot of soul searching. Trying to pick the image for each questions wasn’t as easy as I thought.
